Match Notes & Fixtures

Rules

1. Match Rules - The Angling Trust Match Rules will apply to all club matches.
2. All bookings must be paid for, failure to do so will bar the angler from entering further matches. 

3. Litter - Please take your litter, tins, used line and hooks home.

4. Keepnets must be of the approved type for water being fished. 

5. Local bait bans must be observed.

Match points are given for the position an angler finishes in the match governed upon their total weight i.e.

1st = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points etc.

Match Draw Locations

The draws will take place at:

Grantham Canal - At the Gap Inn, Muston at 0900

Grantham Canal - Friday Sweepstakes - On towpath at 1730

Collingham Match (Millennium Pond) - at complex

Upper River Witham - Long Bennington Lay-by at 0900

Others - At the Venue Cafe/ Car Park at 09.00

Friday Night Sweepstake Series - John Bradshaw Cup

Friday Night Sweepstakes will run for eight weeks commencing at the beginning of June.

Draw - On the half mile length or the twin bridges pound of the canal at 1730.

Fish from 1815 to 2115 light depending.

Entries on the bank.

Pleasure anglers please vacate pegs 13 - 67 by 6 pm for the eight weeks (1st Friday June for 8 Fridays).

Match Qualification: Anglers can fish any of the 8 matches but a minimum of 6 are required to win the John Bradshaw Cup.

Best Results Count: Only an angler's best 6 individual results count towards their final points total for the competition.

Eligible Fixtures: Only the 8 Friday night matches qualify for the John Bradshaw Cup.

Match man of the Year

All matches count towards the Match Man of the Year apart from those denoted by *

The Bottesford & District Angling Association (B&DAA) Matchman of the Year competition is governed by three core rules: qualification through a minimum number of fished matches, scoring based on specific individual performance counts, and inclusion of all standard fixture matches.

Match Qualification: Anglers must fish a minimum of 10 matches from the official fixture list to officially qualify.

Best Results Count: Only an angler's best 8 individual results count toward their final points total for the Matchman of the Year standings.

Eligible Fixtures: All matches on the calendar count toward the competition, except for any specific fixtures denoted with an asterisk (*) on the schedule.
