Cormorants
The continual influx of invasive non-native European Cormorants within the UK is threatening both commercial and natural fisheries. Hydroscape-Group are collating all reported sitings (date, numbers, locations etc) to provide evidence for the UK Government to address anglers concerns. They use this data to map cormorant distribution throughout the UK and then work with clubs, fisheries and landowners to implement effective solutions and drive national change to protect the future of fish and fisheries. Any B&DAA member seeing any cormorants on the Associations waters are requested to report the siting via the easy to use reporting system via the website:

2026 -2027 Membership Books

2026 -2027 Season Fixtures
The 2026 - 2027 Match fixtures have been confirmed by the Match Secretary and are now viewable on the Match Notes and Fixtures Page.
Canal Match Draw Location
Due to the Gap Inn at Muston now being open at 0800 for breakfasts all canal match draws will now be held at this location.
Twin Bridges Access Gate
The new padlock and chain recently fitted to the access gate has again been removed/ stolen. It has been decided that the gates will now remain unlocked. All anglers are requested that the gates are closed upon leaving.
Match Anglers
The committee agreed to add an additional £1.00 to off set the ever increasing cost of trophy engraving which has tripled over the last few years. The additional £1.00 applies only to the following matches:

Match Pegging Fees
At many fisheries the number of pegs required by the club are to be booked in advance. Once an angler has agreed to attend a match where pegging fees are required, they must pay the fees regardless of attending the match or not.
New Members

Association Merchandise
The Match Secretary has found a new producer for Association merchandise. Items available are Baseball Caps, T-Shirts, Polo Shirts and Hoodies which all show the Associations Badge and some items can have your name on them too. For more details, cost and orders please contact Bryan Baines.
